WHAT IS A BANNED BOOK?
A banned book is the one that has been censored by an authority- a government, a library or a school system and has been removed from the shelves of a library because it's controversial content.

WHAT ARE THE REASONS FOR BANNING BOOKS?
Many books have been banned or censored in one or more of these categories due to a misjudgement or misunderstanding about the books contents and message:
  • RACIAL ISSUES
  • SEXUAL SITUATIONS
  • VIOLENCE 
  • POLITICAL BIAS
  • RELIGIOUS AFFILIATIONS
  • AGE INAPPROPRIATE

WHY I READ BANNED BOOKS?
1. I believe that I have the right to choose, under my own discretion, what books to read.

2. Banned books help me to better understand the world i live in and isssues i face in my culture.

3. When I read books with various views on controversial subjects, I experience multiple points of view before forming my own opinions and I can make better decisions.

4. No one should tell me what I can't or can read.

5. Banned books are almost always,awesome books.

6. I believe that parents should monitor what their OWN CHILDREN read, but not have the authority to ban other children from reading these books.

7. I HAVE RIGHT to seek out any media that governments deem appropriate for information or education.
